Wigan: Devante Cole, Donervon Daniels and James Vaughan are all cup-tied for the 'Latics' so Nick Powell and Will Grigg will lead the attack. In terms of injuries, Shaun MacDonald and Jordan Flores are sidelined for the game. Captain Sam Morsy also misses out through suspension after being booked in their midweek defeat to Blackpool.
Manchester City: Leroy Sane and David Silva returned from their injury lay-offs against Basel in the Champions League midweek and could start as both try to work up their fitness. The same could happen with Gabriel Jesus, who has returned to training after his knee problem, although it may be too soon. Claudio Bravo will most likely start in goal for the 'Sky Blues' as he has played in all domestic cup matches so far.
Wigan head coach Paul Cook:
"Football has a funny way of sending out shock results and our belief on Monday night must be that we can win the game."
"We've lost five games out of 30 this season but because our two recent defeats are so fresh in the mind, people are saying we've got to do something different or re-find ourselves".
"[However,] we've got a fantastic stadium and the support inside will make it a really good atmosphere, that's a guarantee."
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola:
"I saw the game against Bournemouth. Bournemouth are one of the teams I like to watch the most in the Premier League and they were able to beat them. And I think in the FA Cup, every season, there are a lot of surprises. We are going to prepare as good as possible for this game."
The Spaniard has also revealed to reporters how he tried to sign for their opposition during his days as a player, but was turned down because he apparently "wasn't good enough". Who would have thought?
Did you know?
This is the fifth meeting between these two sides in the FA Cup, with Wigan winning each of the last two, including an FA Cup final victory thanks to Ben Watson's goal in 2013.
In fact, the 'Latics' have only lost one of their 10 FA Cup matches against top-flight opposition (W7 D2), progressing past Premier League sides Bournemouth and West Ham in rounds three and four respectively this season.
