The full-back has regained his peak form this season, cementing himself as one of Jose Mourinho's stand-out players, even featuring in 29 games in all competitions and earning a return to the England set-up.
His display has meant that the 'Red Devils' have decided to take up their option of an extra year on his contract, which was due to run out at the end of the summer.
The news will be welcomed by Young, who stated his desire to remain with the Manchester club in an interview with the 'Daily Mail' on Sunday.
"I've always wanted to be here and for as long as I can. I'd like to finish my career at United," the 32-year-old revealed.
Young joined the 'Red Devils' in 2011 from Aston Villa and has since made 193 appearances, scoring 16 goals, and has won five trophies.
