Spurs seek out Barca starlet Riqui Puig

The young playmaker has been involved in training with the Barca first team and made his deubt for Barcelona's B team back in February, as a substitute for Marcus McGuane against Gimnastic de Tarragona. 

According to the 'Daily Mail', the young player has received interest from several European clubs, but is particularly keen to make London his home and Tottenham have captured his attention.

Spurs can point to many cases where they have invested a modest fee in young players to shape them into world-class stars, including the likes of Dele Alli, Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld. 

However, they have also encountered moments where big investments have gone wrong. As boss Mauricio Pochettino aims to secure his own future, he will likely be seeking out players that can head straight into a starting lineup.

Puig is one of many players Pochettino is thought to be targeting, with others being United's Anthony Martial, Palace's Wilfried Zaha and Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon.
