Rudiger: We're all backing Morata

"As a striker, it's normal that you want to score," said the 24-year-old. "Of course there are times when the head is down a little bit. I'm not worried about him. The whole team is with him and I think all the fans are with him."

"It's just a difficult period for him. Sometimes, there are spells when you score and don't score, but his effort for the team is good and he always tries. If he scores again, everything will be fine."

The Spanish striker started prolifically for the 'Blues', netting seven times in his first eight appearances. However since then, he has scored only five more in 21 outings and failed to score in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final clash against Arsenal. His team-mate didn't appear overly concerned though. 

"Can he win the second leg against Arsenal for us? Definitely. We saw it in the last round against Bournemouth. He had one chance and scored. When he does that again, everything will be OK," Rudiger added.

Chelsea will be hoping to bounce back after two successive 0-0 draws, the first in the FA Cup third-round tie against Norwich and the other, last night against the 'Gunners'. Their next fixture is home to Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
