Pardew held talks with the board on Monday. The outcome was that he earned job security for at least another week.
"I told them what I think perhaps needs to happen going forward. They listened and I'm still in a job. I said it was probably time I spoke to upstairs and said, 'I don't know where all this speculation is coming from, so let's clear the air,'" the Baggies' manager said.
West Brom are currently sat rock bottom of the Premier League table, eight points adrift of securing another season in England's top division. Arrocding to the bookies, the Baggies are a sure bet for relegation.
Pardew, however, feels his side can continue to fight. He urged his players to start getting results: "The senior players need to deliver, otherwise we are not going to be in with a shout of staying up," was his final ultimatum.
