It is already well known that Neymar has been on the radar of the European champions for a while. They have tried and failed to sign him on two previous occasions but in 2013 but their eternal rivals Barcelona pipped them to the post and Madrid had no option but to forget about him.
Now, it seems that Madrid have reignited their interest in the Brazilian star. According to the aforementioned source, the club from the Spanish capital will launch an audacious bid to sign the player next summer.
They will reportedly offer 200 million euros to try and lure the world's most expensive player to the Bernabeu, but the powers that be in Madrid know how complicated a potential deal could be.
It's worth noting that PSG themselves paid 222 million euros for Neymar last summer. 'Marca' claim that between the transfer fee and the player's salary, any potential transfer could cost Real Madrid around 450 million euros in total.
Bearing in mind the world-record transfer fee shelled out by PSG to Barcelona during the previous transfer window, it seems unlikely the Ligue 1 giants will let the 25-year-old go for much less... Is it just a rumour? We'll have to wait until the summer of 2018 to find out.
