Reports from 'The Mirror' suggest that Juventus are confident that they will be able to land the German international in the summer.
The midfielder has not signed a new contract for Liverpool, and with less than six months remaining on his current deal, it seems likely that he will be leaving the 'Reds' at the end of the season.
Can is eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with a club outside of England, and 'Juve' are increasingly positive that this team will be them.
This pre-contract agreement would mean the Merseyside club would not receive a transfer fee for the player, and it is probable that this would translate into a bumper wage package for Can.
However, Can insists that money is not his motivation for refusing to sign a new contract with Liverpool. Speaking in 2017, he said: "It is not about money, that's all I can say."
"Yes I could [sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club] but tomorrow I could also sign for Liverpool. We'll see."
Can has been a key part of Jurgen Klopp's side this season, starting 19 times in the league, and losing the 24-year-old without compensation would without a doubt be a blow to the 'Reds'.
