In an interview with 'BeIN Sport', the Arsenal manager spoke candidly about his early days at the London club and how it linked to his battles in England's top division today.
"I talked to [Pep Guardiola] a few times and once he came to my house, when he was a player, because he wanted to play for Arsenal".
This revelation suggests that the former Barcelona midfielder wanted to play in the Premier League. Although the Frenchman didn't divulge if Guardiola visited him during his time at the Camp Nou or once he had enter his twilight years.
In addition, Wenger admitted that he is a fan of his rival manager's philosophy: "He has a clear vision of the game and shows a positive attitude and philosophy. I even respect him when he doesn't win, because of the influence he has on the game".
It seems that even though there is a healthy rivalry between two of the biggest clubs in England, there is also a lot of admiration.
