Reports are emerging that Manchester United are interested in signing Abdoulaye Doucoure, making his future at Watford uncertain. Arsenal and Tottenham are also said to be keeping an eye on the midfielder.
Watford coach, Javi Gracia admits that he is unsure whether Doucoure will remain at the club at the end of the season. The 'Hornets' are eager to hold onto the 25-year-old and discussions have begun in a bid to to renew his contract. Gracia has said he thinks that Doucoure ''is very happy with the team, the supporters, the club, the city. I think he is very happy,'' and is in favour of renewing the contract, admitting that 'I would like Doucoure to stay with us more time.''
Gracia praised the skill of the Frenchman , ''I have tried to explain to him many things that he can improve but at this moment, this season, he is a very good player. He has a very good attitude and helps the team all of the time with a good mentality and attitude. He is a very good player and he can do better.'' Doucoure started in the 'Hornets' lineup against Arsenal on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium.
Ahead of the game, Gracia said that no manager will likely be able to better the longevity of Arsene Wenger's career with the 'Gunners', saying that ''it's not possible to stay in a club for more than five or six years, it's very difficult, the people want results quickly and the clubs change players and managers. It is not possible to stay that long any more.''
