After his impressive performances for the Championship club in their semi-final run in the Carabao Cup, which came to an end on Tuesday against Manchester City, Flint has attacted interest from a host of Premier League clubs.
One of these potential suitors is Chris Hughton's Brighton, who have reportedly had their first bid of £6m rejected by the Bristol club, as they look to add to their two other January signings of Jurgen Locadia from PSV Eindhoven and Viktor Gyokeres from IF Brommapojkarna.
Not only would Flint bolster a defence that has conceded 33 times in the league this season, but he would offer an ariel threat in attack.
The 28-year-old has scored 34 goals in 187 league games for the 'Robins' and has shown he can cut it against Premier League opposition. However, Brighton will have to improve their offer to secure his signature with Bristol City putting a £10m minimum valuation on the defender.
