Robinson, whose long career has spanned 22 years, is currently carrying out a player-coach role at Birmingham City where he has only played 45 minutes of football this season.
During his time as a player, the full-back has donned the shirt of numerous English sides, notably Bolton, West Brom and Watford. Now, after 763 games, Robinson has decided to call time on his career.
"I have loved wearing every shirt with pride, I have played my heart out every time and I've achieved from a young age my dream," the Englishman wrote on social media.
