The first time the pair faced each other in the 20th century was in the quarter finals of the 2002/03 Champions League. Goals from Montero (Juventus) and Javier Saviola (Barcelona) saw the game end in a 1-1 draw, leaving the match finely poised ahead of the second leg.

The return leg didn't exactly go to plan for Barca. Pavel Nedved put the visitors in front before before Xavi Hernandez forced extra time. There was to be no fairytale for Barca though as Zalayeta sealed the victory for the Italians in the 114th minute. Juve went on to the final that season where they lost to AC Milan on penalties.
Juventus 1-3 Barcelona (Champions League final 2015/15)
The biggest clash of all-time between the two sides took place at Berlin's Olympic stadium. The game turned into a nightmare for Juve though as Barca took the leads after just five minutes through Ivan Rakitic. Alvaro Morata briefly levelled before goals from Luis Suarez and Neymar gave Barca the victory.
Juventus 3-0 Barcelona (Champions League quarter final first leg 2016/17)
The Italians got their revenge for that Champions League final defeat last season when an inspired performance from Paulo Dybala propelled them to a 3-0 win. The Argentine scored twice before defender Giorgio Chiellini added some gloss to the scoreline.
Barcelona 0-0 Juventus (Champions League quarter final second leg 2016/17)
Barca hoped to repeat their historic comeback against PSG in the second leg but came up short as a typically stoic Italian defensive display prevented them from doing so. Juve went on to reach the final of the tournament once again that year where they were ruthlessly dispatched by Real Madrid in Cardiff.
