Perisic has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, with United boss Jose Mourinho all but admitting that he is keen to bring the player to Old Trafford.
The Portuguese has been looking for a wide player all summer and Perisic is thought to have been his first choice but he appeared to have given up hope after admitting that Inter had 'fought' to keep the player.
Nevertheless, 'Sky Sports News' reports that United are considering resuming talks with Inter over the move, though if Spalletti's comments are anything to go by they would be wasting their time.
Speaking after Inter's 1-0 friendly win over Real Betis, Spalletti said: "He is determined to remain, he has spoken as a footballer who wants to do well based on his professionalism."
Perisic joined Inter in 2015 and made 42 appearances for the club last season, scoring 11 goals.
