Speculation arose last week that Chelsea were very keen on the striker, though that interest will presumable have diminished following the news that Chelsea have agreed a deal with Real Madrid to sign Alvaro Morata.
When the matter was brought up on Tuesday Guardiola was adamant that Aguero would not be leaving: "You know my opinion on Sergio, I said it many times last season," Guardiola said. "He’s our player. He will remain here."
"We have two really good strikers in Sergio and Gabriel so, in that terms, we are good, it’s not about a striker."
"The problem was last season Gabriel was out for a long time and we would like to see both of them together."
City are understood to be still chasing Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez, though Arsene Wenger has told the press that the club's decision is "not to sell" the Chilean.
