Barcelona were waiting for the TAD's final resolution after reviewing the club's appeal made last Friday. However, the Catalan club sent their petition just after the panel held their ordinary meeting.
Fortunately, the TAD was able to call for an emergency reunion on Saturday at 12 o'clock, so Barcelona were hoping to have their document reviewed and, ultimately, the Brazilian's suspension revoked so that he could play in next Sunday's 'El Clasico'.
However, despite the TAD arranging a meeting at their headquarters on Ferraz street in Madrid, president Enrique Arnaldo had to call off the meeting because two members of the board that were set to hold the unusual convention could not be contacted.
Due to these strange circumstances, Barcelona could avail themselves of the law, having not received an answer from the TAD. The club could choose to interpret the lack of response as Neymar being exempt of fault and able to play the crucial La Liga clash. Real Madrid would of course have the possibility to challenge the move and report the Catalan club, who would be exposed to a sanction for improper alignment. Finally, there is no TAD meeting and Neymar's case is yet to be resolved.
