The Senegalese forward has missed Liverpool's last three matches after seeing red for his challenge on Ederson in the defeat to Manchester City but is back available for the game, with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp hinting that he is likely to start.
Klopp told Liverpool's official website: "He's back and available again - and if he is available it makes sense to bring him from the beginning, but we will see,"
"Sadio is back and it's really good. He made all the normal training sessions. When you are injured or suspended you have to do more than the rest of the squad because you cannot play, so he should be OK."
The German also backed playmaker Philippe Coutinho to further improve in the future after his impressive performance in the win over Leicester at the weekend.
"He's still a young player so I hope he can still be better in the future," Klopp explained in his pre-match press conference.
"He was in good shape before back problems and is now in good shape, that's really important for us. He has a fantastic game for us last weekend, so very important."
The 'Reds' will also be without young defender Joe Gomez for the game, who is suspended after being sent off against Sevilla.
If Liverpool are to come away with three points they will have to improve on their recent form, having not won in any of their last six Champions League games.
