Hasselbaink took part in a 100m race at the sports day. The 45-year-old's playing days may be well behind him but he proved that he could still shift, sealing gold, mainly due to a despairing dive at the finish line with a dellow dad breathing down his neck.
Upon winning the race, Hasselbaink looked happy enough, until he realised that he has been caught on camera, by none other than John Terry, who can be heard in the background giggling away at his former team-mate's will to win.
The Dutchman scored 88 goals in 177 games for Chelsea and will be forever remembered by Middlesbrough fans for being part of the team that reached the UEFA Cup final in 2006.
From the outset the race looked like it would be between Hasselbaink and the gentleman in the lane to his right and so it proved, with Jimmy Floyd emerging victorious, but with his dignity damaged.
