United have signed Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic this summer in an attempt to strengthen their back line. The additions appear to have made Fosu-Mensah surplus to requirements at Old Trafford and Jose Mourinho has allowed the versatile 19-year-old to head to London in order to gain experience.
Fosu-Mensah was brought into the first team towards the end of last season by Jose Mourinho, where he was happy to play in any position for his boss.
He said, "If the manager wants me to play centre-back I will play there. If he wants me to play defensive midfield I will play there. If he needs me to play right back I will play there. I like them all and can play them all so it is not a problem."
The talented youngster recently signed a new deal at United, but will now gain maturity playing on a weekly basis at Selhurst Park.
New Crystal Palace boss Frank de Boer has been looking to improve his team's defence and now looks to have secured a player who can play at right-back, centre-back and as a defensive midfielder.
