After spending over £50million on Davy Klaassen and Jordan Pickford this week and with a move for Malaga forward Sandro Ramirez looking almost done, Everton boss Ronald Koeman hopes to continue shaping his squad this week with moves for Burnley's Michael Keane and Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Everton have been linked with the pair for some time now with 'The Daily Mail' reporting that they are prepared to make another effort to sign Iceland international Sigurdsson, who is rated around the £30million mark by his club. Sigurdsson was key for the 'swans' last season as he scored 9 goals and laid on 13 assists in 38 games to guide them to safety.
Everton's signing of Klassen and the potential addition of Sigurdsson could mean the end of Ross Barkley's Everton career, the creative midfielder was given a deadline to sign a new deal by the club at the end of last season and failed to do so, meaning that he is expected to move on this summer.
The same source also reports that initial contact was made last week between Everton and Burnley regarding a move for England international defender Michael Keane. Keane is very much in demand following a fine season but he has made it clear that he would only leave Burnley if he can secure first team football elsewhere. With Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams not getting any younger, there is no reason why he couldn't do so at Goodison Park.
