Barely a year after joining Juventus on a free transfer, Dani Alves looks set to leave Italy. After a fine season in Turin, it seems the Italian champions have not been able to understand the Brazilian's peculiar character.
The right-back wants to be reunited with one of his great mentors, Pep Guardiola, and he will do so with an interesting annual salary of £5 million. Alves will take Nolito's place on the payroll, with the Spaniard looking destined for a move to Sevilla.
The Citizens were prepared to offer £5 million to secure the transfer from Juventus, but it appears the player will be allowed to leave the club as a free agent before joining Guardiola.
The signing would be considered a triumph at the Etihad, and it would allow them to offer the Brazilian around £100,000 a week.
