The Catalan club are reportedly considering a bid of £60 million to lure the Liverpool hotshot away from Anfield, though Jurge Klopp remained firm: 'He is our player, there are no other ideas, nothing has changed', he said back in January.
Last weekend, Philippe Coutinho scored his 13th goal of the season to guarantee Klopp's team a spot in the Champions League.
As it seems, Coutinho is quite content with his role in Jurgen Klopp's team, and in an interview for ESPN Brazil he explained why he would turn down Barcelona.
'[If you] stay here and they will end up building a statue in your honour', said Coutinho, who relishes being important for the team, 'Go somewhere else, to Barcelona, to Bayern Munich, to Real Madrid, and you will be just another player. Here you can be something more', he said.
