Spanish news outlet 'Don Balon' reports that Sanchez's potential departure could also have a big impact on Zinedine Zidane's plans for the upcoming season.
They report that Arsenal are interested in bringing Karim Benzema to the Emirates, in the event that Sanchez leaves the club this summer.
That seems quite surprising, given that the Londoners have already brought striker Alexandre Lacazette to the club this summer for a club-record fee.
Nevertheless, it is no secret that Wenger is a big fan of Benzema's and the Arsenal boss was allegedly prepared to spend €60m on the 29-year-old last summer.
The same souce suggests that the promises made to Ronaldo in order to convince him to stay in the Spanish capital this summer could also push Benzema towards the exit door, with Ronaldo having been told that he will be Real's star man moving forward.
However, any such move seems incredibly unlikely, with Wenger stating this week that the club's decision on Sanchez was "not to sell". Even if the 'Gunners' were to sell, it would seem strange that their number one replacement would be a very different type of player.
